Job Summary: Portfolio Associates on the Client Service team are responsible for servicing separately managed institutional and private client accounts. The Client Service team works with Client Operations PAs and Portfolio Managers to support this key group of clients. The PA is responsible for a variety of client and investment activities and, as a result, needs to possess critical thinking abilities, strong analytical skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. PAs work closely with Portfolio Managers to analyze investment themes and issues and communicate effectively with clients and internal partners. This role interacts with several internal groups including Client Operations PAs, Account Services, Marketing, Performance Analytics, and other operations teams.
Duties & Responsibilities: This individual will be responsible for the client service functions of institutional and private client portfolios including: partnering with Portfolio Managers on prospect and client meetings, completing new account paperwork, on-boarding new clients, completing disbursement & transfer requests, maintaining client databases, and supporting marketing service efforts.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing presentation and performance materials used in client and prospect meetings
- Analyzing and ensuring the accuracy of investment performance results
- Adding and maintaining accurate rules in the compliance system
- Handling recurring standard and customized client reporting, including preparation and review
- Updating existing and creating new client service procedures and workflow documentation
- Providing daily assistance to PMs with telephone coverage, written communications and reports
- Actively cross training on accounts to provide backup coverage for all team members
- Actively participating in departmental projects and initiatives, occasionally acting as the lead person
Qualifications: Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a client service role, specifically servicing high net worth individuals, for an investment firm, private client firm, bank or trust company
- Excellent attention to detail, an exceptionally high degree of initiative and adaptability, and the ability to multi-task
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment • The ability to work with numerous and conflicting deadlines
- The ability to perform a wide variety of complex and confidential tasks with speed and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills are necessary to solve client service problems
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to communicate constructively within the department and the Firm
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Outlook
- Knowledge of investment products, services and terminology
Preferred:
- Experience with one of the following: Salesforce, FactSet, Bloomberg, Aladdin, Eagle PACE, SQL, or Charles River
