We currently are looking for qualified individuals to lead and work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services on strategic and global priority accounts. We are an industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services to financial institutions and other capital markets participants, and mortgage banking, commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers (traditional and alternative), insurance, and other organizations.

Responsibilities include; Participate, lead and manage large scale client engagements. Establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client’s business.

Key areas and experiences needed include:

·         Dual rating methodologies (including Probability of Default and Loss Given Default estimation)

·         Loan loss reserve methodologies

·         Credit grading system validation

·         Credit policy development and enhancement

·         Credit risk measurement (asset and portfolio levels)

·         Regulatory reporting

·         Credit risk mitigation

·         Performance measurement

·         Capital allocation

·         Credit lifecycle within a commercial bank

·         Credit risk management infrastructures

·         Quantitative methods and tools supporting credit risk measurement

·         Economic capital and RAPM

·         Competitive and regulatory drivers for credit risk management

·         Integration of economic capital into performance measurement frameworks (e.g. Risk Adjusted Return on Capital (RAROC), Shareholder Value Added (SVA)

·         Current industry and regulatory issues (Basel II)

·         Funds transfer pricing, Asset Liability Mismatch (ALM) modeling, Data (time series, yield curve development)

·         Knowledge of credit and market risk software (e.g. KMV, Credit Manager, Risk Manager) MS Project, VB, C++, SAS, Bloomberg

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated knowledge in credit and/or market risk measurement and management

·         Experience at a regulatory or rating agency in the areas of credit risk management, risk rating systems, regulatory capital, and/or capital markets

·         Broad consulting and project management skills, effective written and oral communication skills

·         Ability to converse with counterparts at financial institutions regarding credit risk management, Risk Adjusted Performance Measures (RAPM) and economic capital topics and current practices

·         Experience in treasury and capital markets risk management practices, processes and products

·         Knowledge of a broad range of treasury instruments and the complex financial products (including all short and medium term money market instruments, foreign exchange, and interest rate derivatives) used to manage risk

·         Strong mathematical and problem solving skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

·         Functional knowledge related to asset-liability management, interest rate risk, funding and liquidity risk, behavioral modeling, stress testing and scenario analysis, maturity mismatch, prepayment option modeling, sedimentation modeling, etc.

·         Understand leading practices in Treasury governance, processes, procedures and internal control environment

·         Strong communication and relationship building skills are essential

·         Valid driver’s license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel internationally

 

Senior Manager Requirements:

·         Experience in generating new business opportunities. The ability to actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all Ernst & Young practices to serve client needs.

·         Serve as an integral member of an engagement team by leading many aspects of client advisory projects. This includes management of project work streams, budget and staffing projections, and day-to-day interaction and coordination with client contacts.

·         Bachelor’s degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a master’s degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience. Degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering or a related discipline; an MBA or MS preferred

·         Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience within financial services at a commercial bank or related firm with a well-developed credit risk management infrastructure or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company

 

Manager Requirements:

·         Effectively manage and motivate multiple teams of advisors through all phases of the engagement life cycle. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client’s business.

·         Bachelor’s degree and approximately 5 years of relevant experience within financial services at a commercial bank or related firm with a well-developed credit risk management infrastructure or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company

·         Degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field; an MBA or master’s degree (in finance, mathematics, etc.) a plus

 

Senior Associate Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree and approximately 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 1-2 years of related work experience in banking/capital markets at a commercial bank with a well-developed credit risk management infrastructure or comparable experience working as an advisor to financial services companies

·         Degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field; an MBA or master’s degree (in finance, mathematics, etc.) a plus
